During the last couple of decades, aerial platforms and manlifts have become a common sight on construction job sites and in industrial maintenance applications. Similar to every other device, manlifts are just safe when they are used properly. Protecting Employees

It is also essential that only those workers who have received training should be authorized to operate the controls. Operating procedures and communication rules should be clear. The employee has to make sure that she or he has made whatever adjustments required to reflect the change in fall distance if there are changes in the height of the work area.

Manlifts must be inspected and tested each day to make sure they are in safe operating condition. Prior to using the machine, any defects must be re-checked and repaired.
